  Carsten Bengs has 26 O&K models, including mostly excavators and wheel loaders, but also two rope shovels.  Special models in the collection of Carsten Bengs are his AKV Bochum models, which include seven with lifting capacities between 25 tonnes and 160 tonnes, made by Conrad and NZG. | German collector Carsten Bengs has translated a childhood fascination with construction equipment into an extensive collection of cranes and excavators, authorship of three books and regular reviews in Toy Trucker & Contractor, and even a career.  Carsten Bengs’s collection also consists of a few YCC models. The legendary Gottwald AMK 1000 in Riga Mainz colors is one of his favorite models. Right beside, the LTM1800 in Thömen colors is assembled with a luffing jib, followed by the LTM1400 in Franz Bracht colors.  In 2013, Carsten Bengs did a review in Toy Trucker & Contractor of the WSI LTM1500 model in a unique space. That year, his house was built and he used the scene for some photos at the home’s foundation. |
