At the Bauma 2019 in Munich, Germany, Kobelco presented its new excavator flagship, the new SK850LC-10E excavator, the largest in the program. This 82-tonne heavy crawler excavator is designed for heavy excavation work in earthmoving, pipe laying, road building and other jobs. It is powered by a 510-horsepower (380-kilowatt) strong Hino diesel engine, meeting European and U.S. exhaust emission standards of Tier 4. Visitors of the world’s largest construction show could see this powerful new excavator at the booth in Munich, Germany. Right beside the real machine was a nicely made die-cast version on a display. After realizing the smaller Kobelco SK500LC-10, Conrad made this replica, and collectors can look forward to a massive and heavy excavator model full of great details. Shown here are both versions of the model—the European version in the standard Kobelco turquoise color and the U.S. version in the yellow colors for the North American market. Both models are accurately downscaled into the 1/50 scale. As typical for Conrad, both models are really heavy models, and the well-known massiveness is easy to notice on both when picking them up. |
