One of the first results out of this relationship is the all-new Multi-PX 2+6 trailer. The original trailer is perfect for transporting crawler cranes or main booms of Liebherr’s LTM 11200, for example. With its load capacity of 108 metric tons, the trailer can easily handle heavy loads. Tonkin copied the trailer in high detail, with new features and all dimensions matching the original trailer. When taking the model out of the stable box, the heavy weight will be immediately noticed. The model is really heavy and appears robust and not so fragile. And all details really are perfect, while having the high functionality. An eye-catcher is the trailer’s surface. Tonkin replicated the anti-slip surface on the trailer’s loading area for the first time exactly as in reality. The model, therefore, gets much more authentic. And the small rigging eyes are nicely indicated; Tonkin painted them differently so they can be easily recognized. Even the small timber planks to support the load are made in different colored material.
