Conrad recently presented three new excavator models from Kobelco. The SK140SRLC comes in the yellow U.S. version with a mono boom and in the European turquoise color with a hydraulically adjustable boom. The bigger SK500LC comes in a unique and limited series with a quick coupler and three work tools. Collectors can look forward to massive and heavy excavator models full of details. All models are accurately downscaled into the 1/50 scale. Typical for Conrad, all three models are heavy, and the well-known massiveness is noticeable when picking them up. Both the SK140SRLC models and the SK500LC excavator model come with an accurately modeled undercarriage. Both the SK140SRLC and the SK500LC have triple grouser shoes accurately modeled. All track shoes smoothly rotate while they are slightly tensioned. All idlers on the models are spring-loaded to provide enough, but not too much, track tension. The track shoe width of 1.2 cm exactly matches the shoes on the real machines. The undercarriages have a width of 5.2 cm on the SK140SRLC model. The SK500LC comes with an extendible undercarriage of 6 cm in width when being transported on a flatbed trailer. This can be extended to 7 cm during work. Then the stability during work is better. Bottom and support rollers are indicated as well. |
